Sitting here, having a sip of my coffee, listening to a nice music, looking outdoors, ’twas a gloomy day. A lot of things going on in my mind right now, these unknown days, these questions unanswered. It’s all like a puzzle to me, waiting to be solved. Not yet! Yes, not yet. You don’t have to figure it out for now.
Living in the now is not that hard at all. So long as you’ve left behind your what was and what ifs. What I have experienced actually made me decide to embrace the little things in life, from waking up in the morning to going to bed at night. I’m just happy of my current self.
I’ve learned that contentment is not just about being contented in your life right now, since we all have dreams, goals, and plans, but rather an acceptance of your current situation without neglecting your future. Your next step contributes to your deepest desires. It’s one of the reason you are doing the things you love, right? It happens that I haven’t figure it out just yet, but I’m being patient to myself because I know I’m growing at my own pace.
It would take a lot of time, effort, and pain to decide to accept a situation. If it takes away the peace in you, you have to master the process of letting it go; it might be an event, a place, your work, or a person. It’s the hardest part, I know, because you have to choose between the two, yourself.
Do you know yourself? You have to. It takes a lot of self reflection and prayer knowing myself better. I have to realign my heart to an all-knowing God. Nothing can ever compare of His love and grace that transends all understanding. It’s the kind of love we need, I need. So I can love myself and others.
